Russell Field Sports Lighting

In order to support growing Campus Recreation programs and their participants, lighting has been added to Russell Field to expand the time the field space can be used.

Wolfskill Agricultural Well Replacement

The UC Davis Wolfskill Experimental Orchards is a valuable research resource utilized by the Department of Plant Sciences for plant breeding, germplasm evaluation, and horticultural and physiological studies. To support the research orchard, a new irrigation well is being constructed to replace an aging well and provide a reliable water supply for the site.

Solano Park Housing Demolition

The 60-year old Solano Park apartments will be demolished. In it's place an overpass will be constructed to connect the campus to a housing development that will house students once constructed.

Big Shift: Sprocket District Hot Water Conversion

Following the successful conversion of the Quad district, Big Shift construction is moving focus to the Sprocket District, which covers the western campus core including the Segundo and Reagan residence halls, the Student Health and Wellness Center, the ARC, the University Credit Union Center, and a handful of classroom and lab buildings.

Water Treatment Plant

To meet campus growth projections and improve the resiliency of the campus water supply, a new domestic water treatment plant will be constructed to treat surface water from Lake Berryessa.

La Rue Road Bridge

To safely accommodate the increasing number of cars, bikes and pedestrians going to and from the campus’s expanding Gateway District, this project — majority-funded by the Federal Highway Administration — replaces a 32-foot-wide, almost- 70-year-old bridge with a seismically safe 52-foot-wide span that includes standard sidewalks and bike lanes.
