Campus Planning

Campus Planning

Welcome to Campus Planning, a unit dedicated to developing long-term plans that guide everything from the physical growth and development of our campus to the planning and programs that support our environmental and social sustainability. By integrating planning functions—Campus Planning, Environmental Planning, and Sustainability—we are able to anticipate future challenges and opportunities while addressing current planning needs. This holistic approach helps create a vibrant, sustainable, and resilient campus that supports the university’s mission while enhancing the quality of life for everyone who studies, works, and visits here.

Campus Planning and Environmental Stewardship (CPES)

CPES includes campus and environmental planning experts who work collaboratively to ensure the responsible and innovative development of our campus. This team includes the Office of Campus Planning, the group which anticipates the campus's future growth and guides its physical development in support of university goals, and the Office of Environmental Planning which manages the university's CEQA efforts as well as compliance with other federal and state environmental regulations.

Sustainability

Sustainable UC Davis is about people, collaboration and community. While UC Davis is recognized as the nation's greenest university, it's the dedication of this team's staff that helps elevate this campus's sustainability through long-term planning in addition to the implementation of multiple social and enviromental initiatives, program assessment and engagement work.
