Howard Way Gateway

UC Davis' Class of 1968 is partnering with Campus Planning and Environmental Stewardship to create an iconic structure at the entrance of Howard Way and Russell Boulevard to enhance this entrance's welcoming environment and commemorate the campus's historic gateways.

Hutchison Drive & Highway 113 Interchange Improvements

To accommodate increased traffic as West Village continues to expand, the Hutchison Drive overpass over Highway 113 will undergo significant improvements, including the addition of a two-way bike path on the north side of Hutchison and signaled intersections for Highway 113 on-ramps and off-ramps.

La Rue Road Bridge

To safely accommodate the increasing number of cars, bikes and pedestrians going to and from the campus’s expanding Gateway District, this project — majority-funded by the Federal Highway Administration — replaces a 32-foot-wide, almost- 70-year-old bridge with a seismically safe 52-foot-wide span that includes standard sidewalks and bike lanes.

Orchard Park Connectivity & Sewer Improvement

To facilitate the Orchard Park Housing Redevelopment, a part of the most ambitious housing expansion the university has undertaken, UC Davis is upsizing and improving infrastructure in and around Orchard Park district.
