Classrooms

Drab to Fab

As UC Davis welcomes more and more students to campus, Design and Construction Management has been hard at work building new and upgrading old classroom space to provide the best environments for teaching and learning.

Briggs Hall Lab Renovations

The renovation of 14,000 square feet of the College of Biological Sciences’ lab space on the northwest side of the first floor of Briggs Hall will increase the utilization of laboratory space, providing a more open lab configuration.

Cruess Hall

Cruess Hall is being renovated to provide multimedia classrooms, a wood shop, metal shop and a 90-seat screening and lecture hall. In addition, contractors will demolish a 5,000 square foot building and replace it with a new entry lobby and 200-seat screening and lecture hall designed to accommodate our campus’s cinema and digital media program.

Diane Bryant Engineering Student Design Center

The new Engineering Student Design Center will transform how engineering students learn design and turn their ideas into reality! The space includes areas to accommodate instruction, student-client collaboration, rapid prototyping, machining, welding and everything in between.

Teaching and Learning Complex

The Teaching and Learning Complex (TLC) will help meet current demand for classroom space, accommodate future growth and provide faculty with the cutting-edge tools and technologies to respond to a variety of teaching styles and enhance educational research.

Walker Hall Renewal and Seismic Corrections

When this renewal is complete, it will house our new Graduate Center – a multidisciplinary learning environment with designated spaces, services and programming to enhance the graduate student and postdoctoral scholar experience at UC Davis.
