About the Project
The West Village Open Space project constitutes the establishment of an agricultural buffer between the West Village residential area the nearby teaching and research fields. The agricultural buffer will provide storm water mitigation and support native wildlife in west campus. Work will include creating a meandering gravel walking path; installing irrigation infrastructure; relocating soil; adding fencing; and planting approximately 4.75 acres of native landscapes in partnership with the UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden.
