About this Project
A screenhouse is being constructed to store and protect the Foundation Plant Services (FPS) grapevine collection — a crucial resource in the U.S. grape industry. The 12,000 square-foot screenhouse will protect the collection from Grapevine Red Blotch Virus and other pathogens transmitted by insects. Protecting the FPS collection will allow the high-quality, virus-free grapevines to continue to support the California wine industry.
