Sign the Teaching Learning Complex Topping Off Beam

Submit your signature by July 26!

Leave your mark on the university's new state-of-the-art Teaching Learning Complex by virtually signing the final steel "topping-off" beam before it's secured into place. Signatures submitted (see instructions below) by July 26 will be added to the beam, which will remain visible once construction is completed!

Did you know?

The canopy over the south stairway and outdoor stadium seating include photovoltaics which will offset building energy use while providing shade to the informal study and gathering spaces.

The Teaching Learning Complex was designed with input from students and instructors to create a space with classrooms that provide flexibility for a variety of teaching styles, technology that supports educational research and innovation, and informal gathering spaces that encourage collaborative learning.

One of these gathering spaces is outdoor stadium seating on the south end of the building. The signed beam will be placed as part of the canopy over this seating. Once construction is complete, there will be a balcony about 15 feet below the beam for viewing.

Teaching Learning Complex will serve the university as a nexus for education for years to come. Be a part of this legacy and campus history by signing the beam.
