What's Different About Construction at UC Davis?

UC Davis is constantly undertaking large projects that have lasting impacts across campus. The university has been massively expanding housing,  pursuing carbon neutrality, improving seismic safety and creating and renovating classroom space, to name a few concurrent initiatives responsible for the construction around campus. Carrying out so many projects is no easy feat, so UC Davis implements many strategies to reduce costs and advance university priorities. Design and Construction Management is an invaluable part of this equation, managing these complex, varied projects from inception to completion.

Vice Chancellor Kelly Ratliff gave a presentation to University California President Michael Drake about the state of student housing and construction on our campus. Browse the slides to understand more about why there's so much construction and what's different about construction at UC Davis.
